Celine Boutier’s second-straight victory confirms her as one of the leaders of the European Solheim Cup team

Boutier won the Women’s Scottish Open only a week after winning her first major and consolidates her position as one of the players who will pull the European cart from September 18th to 24th at Finca Cortesín

Celine Boutier is undoubtedly the player of the moment, after winning her first major with a victory at The Amundi Evian Championship, and topping it off with a new triumph just seven days later at the Women’s Scottish Open.

With these credentials, the French golfer not only becomes one of the favorites for the last major of the year, the AIG Women’s Open, to be held next week, but also consolidates her number one world ranking to be part of the European team and is positioned as one of the leaders of the team that will face the U.S. in just a month and a half at the Solheim Cup to be held on the Costa del Sol.

Behind Boutier, the best European player of the tournament played at the Scottish course of Dundonald Links was the Swedish Maja Stark, who finished in fourth position, undoubtedly another good news for the captain of the European team, Suzann Pettersen.

As for the best placed American players in the Scottish tournament have been Ally Ewing and Andrea Lee, sharing the ninth place, but that has not helped them to enter the rankings that are commanded by Nelly Korda (LPGA ranking) and Rose Zhang (world ranking).
