Linn Grant’s giant step towards the Solheim Cup 2023

The Swedish player has become the new leader of the LET ranking for the Solheim Cup 2023 after winning the Jabra Ladies Open, a tournament in which Ana Peláez finished in a brilliant eighth position to consolidate third place in the same ranking

Linn Grant has taken the lead in the Ladies European Tour ranking that will make up the European team for the Solheim Cup to be held from 18th to 24th September at Finca Cortesín, after her victory in the Jabra Ladies Open held at the French course of Evian Resort Golf Club.

The Nordic player starred in a nice duel with Anne Van Dam and the French player Celine Herbin, who finally shared the second position, while Ana Peláez was the best Spanish player finishing in eighth place.

The player from Malaga consolidates her third place in the LET ranking, followed by Carlota Ciganda, who is in fourth place and did not participate in the French event.

As for the world ranking, which will also give access to the Solheim Cup 2023, it is led by the English player Georgia Hall, who has managed to take off slightly from the French player Celine Boutier, second place, after her tenth place in the Cognizant Founders Cup.

No change in the US rankings

The LPGA Cognizant Founders Cup, won by South Korea’s Jin Young Ko, has had little impact on the rankings for the American team, as the best American has been Angel Yin, fifth place.

As for the European players, they continue to perform well on the other side of the Atlantic. The most outstanding players were Sweden’s player Madelene Sagstrom and England’s Georgia Hall, who shared tenth place.

Nelly Korda continues to lead the LPGA ranking ahead of Lilia Vu. Both players have a wide lead over the third ranked Danielle Kang.

And the world ranking, which will also give access to the American team, is still led by Allisen Corpuz from Hawaii, closely followed by Jessica Korda.
