PING will dress Solheim Cup 2023 staff and volunteers

The emblematic golf brand will be the official supplier of uniforms for the thousand people who will make up the staff and volunteers of the tournament, which will be held from 18th to 24th September at Finca Cortesín.

PING, Founding Partner of The Solheim Cup, has reached an agreement with the event to provide uniforms for the staff and volunteers who will be at Finca Cortesin from 18th to 24th September.

In total, more than a thousand people will wear clothing that, as is traditional, PING will make especially for that week, using on this occasion designs and colours in shades of green, as a tribute to Andalusia, the land where the Solheim Cup will be played this year. In this way, the organisation dissociates itself from the traditional colours of the teams -blue and red- providing the organisational team with impartiality, with the aim of welcoming all types of fans.

As a complement to this attire, the more than one hundred 2023 Solheim Cup ambassadors will also wear their own PING uniform created specifically for the occasion. PING clothing will also be technologically advanced, using the most modern, comfortable and sustainable materials currently in demand by golfers.

Lisa Lovatt, Managing Director of PING Europe, commented, “We are extremely pleased to be the official apparel supplier for the tournament staff and volunteers at the 2023 Solheim Cup at La Finca Cortesin, Spain. This tournament wouldn’t be as successful without the support from all these individuals, who work tirelessly to ensure the event is always one to remember. As founding partners, the Solheim Cup holds a very special place among the team at PING, and we are all incredibly proud to be a part of how it continues to elevate women’s game.”

While, Alicia Garrido, president of Deporte & Business, stressed “the importance of the agreement reached with PING, not only because of the quality of the garments or what this brand represents for the Solheim Cup, but also because, without a doubt, the uniform is a fundamental element for both the staff and the volunteers to have that feeling of belonging to a team.”

The signing of this agreement once again highlights PING’s commitment to the promotion and development of women’s golf, as well as maintaining the historical relationship that exists between this company and the tournament, since Karsten and Louise Solheim, founders of PING, played a key role in the creation and implementation of Solheim Cup in 1990 and, for that reason, the event was named after their surname.

The Solheim Cup 2023, an event of exceptional public interest whose official venue is Finca Cortesin, is sponsored by PING, Costa del Sol and Rolex as global partners; and by the Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía, with co-financing from the European Union, Acosol, the Marbella Town Hall and the Benahavís Town Hall as official partners, and Reale Seguros as official sponsor. Solán de Cabras, Eversheds Sutherland, Casares Town Hall, Toro, Vithas, E-Z-GO and Jet Set Sports are official suppliers. Peninsula is sustainability partner. Marca and Radio Marca are official media. Promoted and organised by Deporte & Business. LET, LPGA, RFEG, CSD and RFGA collaborate in its organisation.
