Our goal is making the Solheim Cup a cleaner and more sustainable sporting event, spreading a clear message: golf is a safe sport for the environment.

All the partners, institutions and companies involved in the project recognize the importance of protecting the environment, minimizing the impact of the event and promoting its sustainability. That’s why they are making a remarkable effort to implement measures that will reduce the carbon footprint, promote recycling in all areas of the tournament, rationalize water consumption, and help conserve the natural habitat.

Among these efforts we must highlight the work of Acosol, the public company belonging to the Western Costa del Sol Town Council Association. Acosol is fully committed to the environment, collecting, transporting, treating and reclaiming wastewaters, helping to preserve water resources. Moreover, Acosol stands out for their work irrigating golf courses through recycled water.
