Captains pick´s

  • Four players as selected by the European Solheim Cup Team Captain.

Although the Solheim Cup overall record might seem to favour the US, in the recent history of this biennial competition Team Europe have become the team to beat.

After winning four of the last six Solheim Cups, including an unforgettable and thrilling contest at Gleneagles in 2019, led by an LET legend, Team Europe always has an impressive proven combination of youth and experience.

Past captains include Mickey Walker, Pia Nilsson, Dale Reid, Catrin Nilsmark, Helen Alfredsson, Alison Nicholas, Lotta Neumann, Carin Koch, Annika Sorenstam and Catriona Matthew.

The strength of the Spanish players who have played for Team Europe must be highlighted. Carlota Ciganda, Azahara Muñoz and Beatriz Recari were amongst those who displayed their quality numerous times and, along with the new generation of Spanish golfers, they promise to bring a lot of joy to the European fans in the near future.
